We have certified plumbers to install and test backflow prevention devices.
If you own a commercial building, such as a business, restaurant, apartment, condo or other facility you may have received a letter from your water company. Most public buildings require a back-flow prevention device to be installed at each cross connection. The back-flow prevention devices need tested annually to ensure contamination does not occur.
What is back-flow?
Back-flow occurs if the water in your plumbing system becomes reversed, and backs into the clean water. This causes contamination. A properly installed, tested and maintained back-flow preventer will help avoid this situation.
Why is back-flow prevention your responsibility?
The water utility company is responsible for the water, until it goes beyond the meter. Once the water hits your plumbing, the water company does not want it back. Also, your neighbors wouldn't be happy if your contaminated water was being pushed back into their systems. In other words, keep your water to yourself, and prevent contamination by complying with your local municipal codes!
